This is the website of Talkin' Ella, a concert programme by jazz singer Maria Masur. This page explains in plain language which personal data is processed when you visit, and why. In short: no cookies, no analytics, no tracking — and YouTube only loads when you press play.

Hosting and server logs
This website is hosted by Alfahosting GmbH, Edmund-von-Lippmann-Straße 13-15, 06112 Halle (Saale), Germany. When you open a page, your browser automatically sends technical information that the server records in log files: your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page or file requested, the amount of data transferred, the page you came from, and your browser and operating system.
This is needed to deliver the website and to keep it stable and secure (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The log files are not combined with other data and are deleted after a short period. Alfahosting processes this data on our behalf under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR).
No cookies, no analytics
We do not use cookies, analytics, tracking pixels or advertising. Fonts and all other files are served from our own server, so your browser does not connect to Google Fonts or any other third-party service while you browse the site.
Data stored in your browser
To remember your choices during a visit, the site keeps a small note in your browser's session storage: that you have passed the start screen, whether the music is switched on, and how far the current song has played (so it can continue when you switch language).
This data never leaves your device, is not sent to us, and is deleted automatically when you close the tab. It is strictly necessary for the functions you use, so no consent is required (Art. 5(3) ePrivacy Directive).
Videos (YouTube)
The videos on this site are provided by YouTube, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Until you press play, you only see a preview image stored on our own server, and no connection to YouTube is made.
When you press play, the video is loaded from youtube-nocookie.com. Your browser then connects to Google's servers, which receive at least your IP address, information about your device and the video you are watching; YouTube may also store cookies or similar data on your device. By pressing play you consent to this (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Google may process data in the United States; Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. You can withdraw your consent at any time by not starting further videos and deleting YouTube's cookies in your browser. More information: Google's privacy policy.
Contacting us by email
If you write to us — for example to book the show — we receive your email address, your name and whatever you include in your message. We use this only to reply and to arrange a possible booking (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
Our email account is hosted by Google (Gmail), so your message is also processed by Google. We keep your messages as long as needed for our correspondence; if a booking results, we keep the related records for as long as tax and commercial law require. We do not share your data with anyone else.
Links to other websites
The site links to mariamasur.de and to YouTube. These pages only open when you click the link; their own privacy policies then apply.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict its processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect processing that took place before.
To exercise these rights, simply email mariamasur.music@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority — in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or the authority where you live or work.
Changes
We update this policy when the website changes. The current version is always available on this page.
